I have a treat for you today! We’ve actually been searching for a great set of either softer/gentler set of cuffs – to introduce some light BDSM and tie-me-down play in the bedroom. – Or a fantastic/brilliant set of really good cuffs that’ll do you proud in whichever and whatever BDSM play or environment you’d enjoy the most. – No matter how soft or bloody hard it might be…

Now I’m pretty sure we’ve found just the right thing to review for you!

Sinvention is a household name in BDSM circles, and is an umbrella of sorts. – The Church of Sinvention is the online retail store you’d go to for these items we’re about to review. – But as a company: the wholesale is simply Sinvention, and their storefront is Boutique of Erotic Pleasures. It’s all driven by a main focus on their own items of course, but they do carry other quality brands as well.

But long story short, we got to know Julie; the Mother of Sinvention and Father James at The Church of Sinvention – the driving forces behind the company, and together we decided on the “Classic Deluxe Restraints with Rings”. Now having decided was one thing, waiting for the set was another altogether! – You know me; patience was no virtue class I ever took in college… But time do move forward, abstract or not, and eventually the discreet package from Sinvention arrived.

And right off the bat: I was pretty flabbergasted. James had warned me that these Classic Deluxe cuffs and matching collar were an advanced set. – That they’d take some serious usage to “break in”, before they would become soft and pliable. – But the cuffs we found inside were gorgeous! – And they were soft, smooth and pliable and… did I mention gorgeous? My Other Half immediately put on the wrist cuffs, and they fit her perfectly. – Even though I had been a bit worried her small wrists would be too small for a good fit. They looked awesome on her skin. – My girl has an almost alabaster complexion, and the contrast was striking and dazzling… The measurements on the Sinvention site list these wrists cuffs as 5½ inches to 8½ inches. – And though my girl has small wrists, they could be smaller still and they’d still fit.

I asked if she felt any discomfort at all, and she just smiled and said: “They feel as good as they look”…

All leather used is fine English bridle leather, and not just Latigo leather… The lining, the leather on your skin, is a saturated, deep black, 4 ounce double thick, full grain leather lining with a rolled edge. – There are no rivets or rough/scratchy edges. And with use, and over time – James assured me – the feel of the leather would be even softer still. – As if breaking in a baseball glove or wearing a leather jacket… Over time – with use – the inevitable sweat, lube and what not would make them soft as baby-skin. The strap is a 1 inch wide, heavy leather strap, again saturated, deep black, but with multiple holes of course, and with the logo of Sinvention embossed in the leather at the end of the strap. Between this black strap and black lining, is a bright red leather layer – making the set really stand out against the skin… All black leather is sewn with red, all red leather sewn with black.

Now, all this leather is of course fully equipped with plenty hardware: Lockable roller buckle, welded ring in a triangle and leather tuck loop. – Everything you’ll need to suspend, hang, dangle, tie or just strut your stuff. – Which is exactly what my Other Half did. In no time she had her clothes off and both sets of cuffs on: wrists and ankles… The collar was kind of an… outlandish thing – for me – that probably isn’t the right word, but, anyway: She couldn’t get the strap through properly, so I went over, but… – I don’t know… I felt a little weird, having never done it before; giving my girl; a grown, educated, free thinking woman, a collar on. – But the lust was definitely in her eyes just wearing the cuff sets, and it was pretty obvious she wanted me to do this.

Again: my girl being a petite woman, still there were holes to spare. There’s actually both a ‘regular’ and a ‘large’ collar to be had, so you should be able to get the one fitting you perfectly… I have to admit: the collar on her looked hot as hell! – And with the red of her hair the collar seemed tailor made.

The hardware of the whole set is actually industrial drilled solid steel rivets and welded heavy hardware. – Not just plated… tin, or what ever the *blip* they use on those cheap sets floating around. – No way in hell anyone would get out of this set when it’s tight and secure! – And speaking of secure; this set is lockable, meaning with small padlocks you can actually secure the set – so not even the wearer can take them off. These padlocks you can buy on the site as well, but make sure your partner is okay with this… – Somehow I have no problems putting padlocks on the cuffs when my other Half is wearing them, but I still haven’t done it with the collar… – Just a personal boundary of mine that – for now at least – needs a little time… I’m sure it’ll come. – I know she wants me to but…
